Stanley K. Stowers

Stanley K. Stowers is an American historian and theorist of religion who served as a professor at Brown University for 31 years. His research focuses on ancient Mediterranean religion, the letters of Paul, and early Christianity. He is also recognized for his comparative analysis of Greek, Roman, and Judean traditions, as well as his work on the early modern invention of monotheism.
