Stanislaw Lem

Stanisław Herman Lem (1921–2006) was a prolific Polish writer, philosopher, and futurologist. Known for his satirical and humorous science fiction, he authored numerous novels, essays, and short stories throughout his career. He is best recognized globally for his 1961 novel Solaris. His works have been translated into over 50 languages, with more than 45 million copies sold worldwide.
