Richard Wright

Richard Wright (1908–1960) was an American author of novels, short stories, poems, and non-fiction. His writing primarily addresses racial themes and the experiences of African Americans facing discrimination and violence. He is best known for the novella collection Uncle Tom's Children, the novel Native Son, and his memoir Black Boy. Critics credit his body of work with influencing race relations in the United States during the mid-20th century.
