Philip J. Deloria

Philip J. Deloria is an American historian and professor of Yankton Dakota descent specializing in Native American, Western, and environmental history. He holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from Yale University and currently teaches in the Department of History at Harvard University. His published works include Playing Indian and Indians in Unexpected Places, and he was elected to the American Philosophical Society in 2021.
