Peter Washington

Peter Washington is an American jazz double bassist who began his career performing with various symphonies and rock bands. After moving to New York City in 1986 to join Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers, he became a prominent figure in the jazz scene. He has toured extensively with the Tommy Flanagan trio and the Bill Charlap trio, while also serving as a founding member of the sextet One for All and a visiting artist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
