Michael Fried

Michael Fried is an American art historian and modernist art critic born in 1939. He is a graduate of Princeton University, Harvard University, and Merton College, Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He currently serves as the J.R. Herbert Boone Professor Emeritus of Humanities and Art History at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
