Lygia Pape
Lygia Pape (1927–2004) was a Brazilian visual artist, sculptor, engraver, and filmmaker. A central figure in the Concrete movement and co-founder of the Neo-Concrete movement, she was instrumental in the development of contemporary art in Brazil. Her work expanded geometric art by incorporating interactive elements and addressing complex ethical and political themes.
