Kwame Ture

Kwame Ture (1941–1998) was a Trinidadian-American activist who played a pivotal role in the U.S. civil rights movement and the global pan-African movement. After moving to the United States at age 11, he emerged as a key leader in the Black Power movement. He served as the head of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, Honorary Prime Minister of the Black Panther Party, and a leader of the All-African People's Revolutionary Party.
