Jean Vercoutter

Jean Vercoutter was a French Egyptologist who contributed significantly to the field through his work as an archaeologist and university teacher. His career spanned much of the twentieth century, during which he focused on the study and preservation of Egyptian history. He remained an active scholar and educator until his death in 2000.
