Georg Lukacs

György Lukács was a Hungarian philosopher, literary critic, and aesthetician recognized as a founder of Western Marxism. He developed the theory of reification and expanded upon Marxist concepts of class consciousness while formalizing the philosophy of vanguard-party revolution. His extensive body of work also encompasses contributions to sociology, art history, and the philosophy of culture.
