Euripides

Euripides was a 5th-century BC Athenian tragedian and one of the three major Greek playwrights whose works have survived in full. While ancient scholars attributed between ninety-two and ninety-five plays to him, nineteen survive today. His work became a cornerstone of Hellenistic literary education, as his popularity grew significantly over time compared to his contemporaries.
