Edmund Keeley

Edmund Keeley (1928–2022) was an American novelist, poet, translator, and essayist. He served as the Charles Barnwell Straut Professor of English at Princeton University and was a noted scholar of post-Second World War Greek history. His work focused extensively on the translation and analysis of Greek poets, including C. P. Cavafy, George Seferis, Odysseus Elytis, and Yannis Ritsos.
