Carlos Ruiz Zafon

Carlos Ruiz Zafón (1964–2020) was a Spanish novelist and screenwriter. He achieved international recognition for his 2001 novel, La sombra del viento, which sold 15 million copies and was named one of the best books in Spanish of the last twenty-five years. His body of work spans adult and young adult literature, reflecting a career that also included roles as a journalist and publicist.
