Bernd Becher

Bernd Becher was a German conceptual artist and photographer who worked in a collaborative duo with Hilla Becher. They are internationally recognized for their extensive photographic typologies of industrial structures, which they frequently presented in grid arrangements. As the founders of the Düsseldorf School of Photography, the pair significantly influenced generations of documentary artists and received both the Erasmus Prize and the Hasselblad Award.
