Amilcar Cabral
Amílcar Lopes Cabral (1924–1973) was a Bissau-Guinean and Cape Verdean agricultural engineer, diplomat, and political organizer. Widely recognized as a prominent anti-colonial leader and pan-Africanist, he was also an intellectual, nationalist, and poet. He served as a key figure in the movements for independence in Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde and was the half-brother of Luís Cabral.
